What is the format? Boaters and Co-Anglers are paired together to fish the events. Boaters compete against boaters and Co-anglers fish against the co-anglers.

How do I register for an event? The simpliest way is registering online. You may also call ABA Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm Central Time at (256)232-0406

How does the guaranteed payout work? See the $5,000 Minimum Guarantee on the menu above 

What is the Entry fee? For divisional one-day events the entry fee is $200 for Boaters and $100 for Co-anglers. For Area Championships the entry fee is $300 for Boaters and $150 for Co-anglers.

How many get a check at the divisional events? 20% of the field + Big Bass. As an example; 100 Boater and Co-angler entries: 20 Boaters and 20 Co-anglers would get a check.

How much is the Big Bass Optional Pot? $10 for Boaters and $5 for Co-anglers

What does priority entry mean? Priority Entries are given a first status in all situations. Priority registered anglers go the top of the list for slots for both Boaters and Co-anglers over anglers without priority status.

Who gets priority status? Package anglers all receive priority status

If I am a Boater do I get guaranteed use of my boat? Yes, in all events if you are registered as a Boater

Can I get information prior to an event? Yes, however Competitors may not buy or barter a fishing location from any person, including guides, for use during any competition day within 30 days prior to the event.

Is there an off limits for Divisional events?   Divisional Qualifying Events - No off limits period.    Area Championships - No off limits period.  Official practice will be Thursday and Friday the week of the scheduled event

How many events do I have to fish in a division to qualify for the Divisional Championship?  To advance to the Area Championship, anglers must have fished as a Boater in 3-one day events or as a Co-anglers in 3-one day events, or a combination of 4-one day events within their region. 

What is Package Registration? When you are register for all five events in a division and you are given Priority status.

Is there a late fee? Yes, $25 is charged for all late entries. Late fees are charged for those registering for events after Wednesday 5:00 pm CST the week of the event.

What is a Freedom Pass? It allows you to not be required to attend the pre-tournament meeting and have a person represent you. Freedom Passes are $25 per season

If I can’t make the event can I get a refund or transfer my entry? Yes, however you must inform ABA of the change by 5:00 pm CST Wednesday prior to the scheduled event. There is a $20 processing fee for all refunds.
