Glouse Uses Spinnerbait to Win at Keowee

Gerald Glouse of Easley, SC was the co-angler champion of the Ram Truck Open Series event held on March 5, 2016 at Lake Keowee. Glouse’s 8.53 pound limit included the 4.73 pound co-angler Big Bass. He won a total of $1355 for his efforts. “I caught everything on a spinnerbait. I really struggled today and didn’t catch but a few fish,” said Glouse.

Don Goodfellow of Simpsonville, SC finished in second place on the co-angler side with 7.61 pounds to win $426. “We were fishing up in Camp Creek. I caught four fish today on a Shakey Head with a green pumpkin plastic bait in less than 10 feet of water. Nothing particularly magical, a couple came off of brush and one came off of a dock,” said Goodfellow.

Tyler Thompson of Anderson, SC brought in 7.54 pounds to finish in third place and win $284. “I caught my fish on a floating worm. My boater was looking for bedding fish and I was just skipping the worm under docks,” said Thompson.
