South Carolina Heads to Clarks Hill

The South Carolina Division of the Ram Truck Open Series will hold its next event of the season on July 30, 2016, on Clarks Hill near McCormick, SC.

The competitors will launch at Dorn Fishing Facility, located off of Hwy 378, McCormick, SC, 29835 Anglers may begin fishing at 6:30a.m. or safe light. The weigh-in will begin at 2:30 p.m. Registration begins at 4 p.m. local time at the Dorn Fishing Facility with the tournament briefing to begin at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening. To enter, anglers fishing the Boater Division pay $200 with co-anglers paying $100. First place is guaranteed a minimum $5,000 first place for boaters. To learn more about the payout visit www.ramopenseries.com/payout.php

Anglers fishing the Boater Division may weigh in up to five bass, each at least 12 inches long. Co-anglers may weigh in up to three bass. 

In addition to cash and prizes for top finishers, boater and co-angler competitors fishing this tournament and Ram Truck Open Series events throughout the season may also win contingency bonuses from such sponsors as Triton Boats, Mercury Outboards, MotorGuide, T-H Marine, ABU Garcia, Maui Jim, and Livingston Lures. The Registration & Briefing for this event will be held in the ABA stage trailer at Dorn Fishing Facility on Friday July 29, 2016 from 4:00pm to 6:30pm with the meeting and partner pairing at 7:00pm local time.

All anglers are required to have in their possession either a valid SC Freshwater Fishing License or GA fishing license. A South Carolina fishing license may be purchased by phone at (866) 714-3611 or online at www.dnr.sc.gov. Go to www.gofishgeorgia.com or call (800) 366-2661 to purchase a Georgia Fishing License.

The best Ram Truck Open Series anglers from across the nation can advance to the no entry fee 2017 Ray Scott Championship, slated for Old Hickory Lake in Hendersonville, TN., in April of 2017.
